Lawal Olaniyi Babafemi will be extradited to
the US on terrorism charges for providing leads to al Qaeda in the
Arabian peninsula. “Since there is no form of any objection by the
respondent, Lawal Olaniyi Babafemi aka
Abdullah Ayatollah Mustapha, to the application for his extradition,
this court is satisfied that the application by the Attorney General for
the extradition of the respondent to the United States of America is
proper and in accordance with the extradition Act 2004,” Federal High
Court Judge Ahmed Mohammed ordered Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Babafemi,
however, admitted to US federal agents that he made travels to Yemen
and received $8,600 to recruit English speaking Nigerians for al Qaeda.
