2013 African Cup Of Nations Finalists Emerge
The 2013 African Cup of nations tournament scheduled to take place in South Africa has been made up with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon out from the scene despite the return of the nation's key striker, Samuel Eto'O. Cameroon was knocked out by Cape Verde. However, cameroon celebrated its lone goal scored by a product of the Samuel Eto'O Foundation, sixteen year old Fabrice Olinga in his national debut, earning him the youngest on his country's senior national team.
On the other scoreboards, Emmanuel Adebayor of Togo lifted his country with the decisive goal in a 3-2 victory against Gabon, while Ethiopia for the first time since 1982, defeated Sudan 2-0 for its formal entry.
The match between Senegal and Cote d'Ivoire at the Stade Leopold Sedar was abandoned fifteen minutes to the final whistle as a result of a severe troubling crowd when the China-based Didier Drogba scored his second goal from the penalty box.
The final qualified countries for the tournament in January and February are: host South Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, defending champions Zambia, Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, Mali, Togo, Burkina Faso, Angola, Cape Verde, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
