The duo lured young women with promises of a better life and took their children

The Niger State police, on Friday, arrested two baby traffickers that sell infants for the sum of N100,000 and above within Abuja, Niger and its environs.

The duo were Martina Ohakwe, a nurse at the Kubwa General Hospital, Abuja, who is allegedly the head of the operation, and her partner, Kingsley Linus from Imo state.

With promises of well-paying jobs, they lured young pregnant women, and young mothers with their infants from the East, promising aid for the care of their babies.

They lodged the women in a house, where they were monitored before the babies were sold.

Before their arrest, the group had sold children belonging to Ngozi Nwani and 20-year-old Oluchi Agachi.
