The President of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Dr. Frederick Fasheun has predicted Nigeria is bound to disintegrate as the Hausa-Fulani domination takes control in the upcoming transition.

Fasheun in his own words:

"So far, Nigeria's engaging political structure raises fears of lopsidedness, domination and marginalization in favor of the North--the emerging executive is headed by a Northern moslem, the judiciary is already headed by a Northern moslem, and then these latest talks about the desire to have the legislature headed by a Northerner too."

"In addition to all these, speculations are rife that the post of Inspector-General of Police will soon go North. Even if this fails to happen, the unassailable fact is that right now the most politically virile arm of of the police, the EFCC, has a Northerner as its chairman. The injustice is the distribution of positions is just too glaring. Nigeria is bigger than the North; and no Northerner, no matter his primordial sentiment should feel comfortable with what is on the ground now."
